Home-ground Substitutes for Pakistan
Surprising Contenders such as Ireland & Scotland
As everyone's aware of the crisis Pakistan's Cricket Board is facing: no international team wished to visit Pakistan's homeland due to security concerns. After the attack on Sri Lanka's cricket team, earlier this year, teams have become more determined against going to Pakistan. Yet, Pakistan still has to play their games, and they also wish to continue their cricketing, hoping one day they will again be hosting International Games at their soil.
To help out Pakistan, many countries have offered their grounds (stadiums) to serve as Pakistan main homegrounds. Ijaz Butt, PCB's chairman has received offers from Ireland, Glasgow, Malaysia, England, and Dubai in this regard. Ijaz Butt still hasn't confirmed which foriegn base he would be choosing.
By helping Pakistan out, these countries of course, benefit themselves too. But it is still a good act of friendliness that these nations' boards have shown.
